There are several ways you can commission work. The best thing to do is call Westside Woodworks and we can discuss your specific needs and desires, but here is a broad outline of your possibilities:
1. If you already have a design and specifics or you want a replica of a piece you have seen in my gallery, you can call me and let me know. We can discuss your choice of material (what type of wood you want), hardware, etc. I can give you a price, send your proposal, receive your deposit and get your project in production.
2. If you have an idea or need but no specific design, I can design something for you. There is a fee for my design work, which varies depending on the complexity of the project. We can discuss what you want (in person or on the phone), you can show me photos of the room the project is for, etc. and I can provide you with drawings. You will receive a highly detailed set of drawings depicting elevation floor plans, cross-section and molding profiles. If you agree to the final draft of the project, half of the design fee is deducted from the overall cost. I will send you a proposal, you make a deposit, I put you on my calendar and get started as soon as I can.
3. If you have a strict budget and a specific need, I can draw up a project that would reflect that value and put the emphasis of my effort on achieving the desired end result you’re seeking rather than investing extensive time and expensive hardware in the interior; for example, eliminating fancy pull-outs, divider racks and so forth. After paying the design fee, I will send you a proposal/contract and will place you on the schedule as soon as possible.
4. Contact me. The best way to figure out what you need is if we talk about it. |
